Air duct cleaning in Redondo Beach and the South Bay
Air duct cleaning removes built-up dust and debris from accessible supply ducts, return ducts, register boxes and vent covers. It makes the most sense when you can see buildup, after a remodel, or when debris is coming out of the vents.

What the cleaning covers
Your HVAC system pulls room air through the returns and pushes conditioned air back out through the supply lines. Dust that gets past the filter can settle along the way, especially at register boxes, bends and the first few feet of each run. We work through the accessible parts of that path one at a time.
- Supply ducts and branch lines we can reach
- Return ducts and return grilles
- Register boxes behind each vent cover
- Removal and cleaning of vent covers
- A visual check for crushed, loose or disconnected sections
When it's worth doing
The EPA advises considering duct cleaning when there is substantial visible buildup, signs of pests, or debris being released into rooms. It also says that some dust in a duct is normal, and that cleaning has not been proven to prevent health problems. We follow the same logic: if your ducts don't need it, we'll say so.
- Gray buildup around vents that comes back soon after you wipe it
- Drywall dust or sawdust after a remodel
- Debris visible inside the register box
- You've moved in and don't know the system's history
Why dirt can come back
Cleaning won't last long if the cause stays in place. A loose filter, a leaking return in the attic or a disconnected flex line can pull in dust again. That's why we look at the condition of the ductwork while we clean and tell you about anything that needs repair.
How to prepare
Clear access to each vent and return, plus the air handler or furnace if you can. Move fragile items off nearby surfaces and let us know about pets, parking or building access rules. Condo and apartment residents should check whether the building needs advance notice.
How a visit works

Frequently asked questions
How long does air duct cleaning take?
It depends on the number of vents, the layout and how easy the system is to reach. A smaller home or condo usually takes less time than a large multi-level home. We'll give you an estimate once we know your setup.
Will duct cleaning help with my allergies?
We can't promise that. The EPA says duct cleaning hasn't been shown to prevent health problems. If you have health concerns, speak with your doctor. We can remove visible buildup and help you understand the condition of your ducts.
Do you remove mold from ducts?
No. If we see something that looks like mold, we'll stop and tell you. Testing and remediation should be handled by a qualified specialist, and the moisture source needs to be fixed first.
